As part of the “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes” Book-to-Action series, join Mary Boyle, Local History/Genealogy Librarian, for a tour of one of Santa Clara’s original cemeteries. The City bought the “graveyard” land in 1850-51 and it has gone through many name changes. Since 1972 it has been known as Mission City Memorial Park. Cemeteries are more than simply a final resting place; they are places of historical significance that help document the past and the lives of the people who shaped it. Come join us as we explore the birthplace of Santa Clara’s death space.
Please note that attendees should meet at 420 N. Winchester Road. Sign up for this tour at https://mcmp_tour.eventbrite.com
