Read Santa Clara tutors:

• are 18 years of age or older
• have a high school diploma or GED with the ability to read, write, and speak English well
• complete fingerprint clearance and other requirements
• participate in 10 hours of free tutor training on Zoom (no prior teaching experience necessary)
• tutor 2 hours a week for 6 months or more
• submit monthly tutoring reports
• are patient, flexible, and kind
• have the joy in partnering with their learners to meet literacy goals, both big and small
