What is Teens Teach?

Teens Teach helps our teenagers grow by fostering opportunities for leadership and building confidence. Library staff will provide a space where teens can connect with their community and share their skills. Teens will have the opportunity to teach with a “one off” program model, rather than a series of classes. However, teens may be granted an opportunity to repeat their program. Teens will have the full support of the Teen Librarian and Youth Services staff.

For more information or questions, email our Teen Librarian, Karen Guzmán, at kguzman@santaclaraca.gov.

What to expect

Fill out the Teens Teach - Library Program Proposal Application. After you submit, we will be in touch with you soon. Give us about one (1) week to review and reach out to you. We will conduct an interview and discuss the process. If you would like to review the interview questions, scroll to the bottom. Also, be sure to thoroughly look at the commitment and expectations right below. You will be asked to confirm your agreement to these expectations after the interview.
