Why Volunteer for the Library?
Volunteering enhances library services and helps make an impact in the City of Santa Clara. You will also gain skills and knowledge that will help in your professional career and your personal life. Students can receive school service credit and valuable job experience.
Who Can Volunteer?
High School Students and adults are invited to volunteer. We welcome volunteers with a variety of different skills, interests and abilities.
What Can A Volunteer Do?
Since our volunteers come from different backgrounds and have different skills and experiences, there are a variety of volunteer opportunities. Volunteers may assist with library events, provide tech help for library users, literacy tutoring, lead conversations in our ESL Club and more.
The Santa Clara City Library Foundation & Friends has opportunities to staff the bookstore, sort incoming donated materials and run the Saturday sales. If you are interested in volunteering for a great organization and meeting new people while doing a great thing for your community. For more information, contact Onvipa De La Riva.
How Do I Get Involved?
Interested in volunteering at one of our libraries? Just complete the City of Santa Clara Volunteer Application and sign the Release of Liability Form. Please note: all adult volunteers over 18 will complete a background check.
