As the final program in our Book To Action series for Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, we'd like you to join us for a death cafe. For those unfamiliar with the concept, death cafes are gatherings where people can speak open and honestly about their feelings, fears, and wishes regarding death and mortality. And, of course, coffee, tea, and snacks are consumed. It is a "cafe" after all.
Representatives from the Bill Wilson Center's Centre for Living with Dying will facilitate this event and help create a safe and respectful environment where people can feel free to speak their mind on this sensitive subject. They will also have information about how you can volunteer with them to become grief support to community members in need.
