The State of California and the City Santa Clara recognize November as Sikh Awareness and Appreciation Month. 
Since the 1890's Sikh pioneers have made significant contributions to California in Farming, Technology, Transportation, Entrepreneurship, Democracy, Community and Social Issues and more.

*The short documentary “The Odd Couple: A Story of Two Triathletes” is an inspirational tale of two triathletes, each with their own set of challenges. Jeff is a below the knee amputee and an Ironman finisher while Parvin, a follower of the Sikh faith struggles to find a balance between maintaining identity and the rigors of training to be an athlete. 

**Harleen Kaur is the founder of Kaur Films. This is a production house based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Their mission is to imagine, create and inspire diversity of thought. The principle purpose is to produce 
international films that foster new thoughts and ideas that showcase stories of strength and resilience.
