NORTHSIDE Girls Who Code Video Applications (Due by 12 Midnight)

We are excited to announce that we are accepting video applications for Northside’s Girls Who Code Program for 2018 until Friday, January 5 at 12 midnight!

We are recruiting for the next Girls Who Code program at the Northside Branch Library which will begin on January 20-May 26, 2018 for girls in grades 6-12. This program is every Saturday from 10:15 am - 12 noon**.

Pay close attention to the steps you need to apply to this program.

 

1. Submit a video application answering the following question: How Will You Change the World with your Newfound knowledge from the Girls Who Code program.

 

2. You or your parent will need to have their own YouTube Account.

3. Your video needs to be anywhere from 2-3 minutes long.

4. When your video is finished, upload it to your YouTube channel and send us a link to your video along with your contact information which will include your name, your school, grade, and city of residence. Priority will be given to Santa Clara residents.

5. Send us an email with a link to your video with your contact information above to northsidelibrary@santaclaraca.gov. Subject line should read "GWC- Submission "your first and last name."

6. If you do not have access to video, please email us at the same address and we’ll work something out.

 

Final video submission must be submitted by Friday, January 5 by 12 midnight. 

Selected Girls Who Code candidates will be notified no later than Saturday, January 13. 

Incomplete video applications will not be submitted into the program. 

**Classes are cumulative so it is important to attend every class.
