STEAM Training Camp 

The Bay Area Host Committee and College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers are providing the Summer STEAM & Football Training Camp series on Friday, September 7th. Leveraging 49ers EDU, the 49ers STEAM Education Programming, the STEAM training camp will provide students participating with five rotating stations all connected to health and fitness leveraging concepts found in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM).  

The no-cost camp goes out into the community and will highlight the importance of physical fitness and nutrition as they relate to STEAM through a series of stations. From using technology and math in the 20-yard dash to understanding the forces in everyday life with broad jump physics, students will learn about STEAM concept from the lens of sports. Students will also experience science rotations including how to engineer a plate to maximize health and fitness and the importance behind hydration when competing.

This program is for K-8th graders only.

Children must be registered AND bring a completed waiver form in order to participate in this event.
