Paula Williams Madison grew up in Harlem, where her Asian features set her apart from others in the African-American community. When she began to research the family history of her Chinese grandfather, she discovered a large extended family that were overjoyed to meet her.
During this program, Madison will discuss this journey and her book, Finding Samuel Lowe, followed by an audience Q&A.
The event begins at 3 p.m.; doors will open at 2:30 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served. Registration does not guarantee entry to the event; however, registering online is a great way to get an email reminder.
