Presented by the City of Santa Clara Cultural Commission in partnership with Santa Clara City Library as part of the Friday Night Live series, this program strives to bring together culture, entertainment, and education.
Tabia, based in San Jose, is in its 29th season of performances in the Bay Area. The name Tabia is a Swahili word for “talented” and represents the creativity, devotion and diversity of the Ensemble’s pool of artists. Tabia’s traveling show is a dramatic presentation that is enlightening, educational and highly entertaining; it consists of the presentation of historical figures, poetry, song, and dance to convey the contributions and culture of African-Americans.
We strongly encourage registering via Eventbrite so you will receive an email reminder. Seating on the evening of the event will be first-come, first-served; tickets do not guarantee entry if the event is full.
This is a family-wide event, and we encourage patrons of all ages to attend to this program. This event is after-hours. Please use the side doors closest to the community rooms for entry to this program after the Library closes at 6 p.m.
