Mattie Taormina, Director Sutro Library will present this class.
The Sutro Library, a branch of the California State Library located in San Francisco, remains one of the largest genealogy libraries west of Salt Lake City. While there is a good amount of genealogy research available online, this presentation will focus on some of the more unique (and still analog!) holdings of the Sutro Library.
Mattie Taormina has been the Director of the Sutro Library since 2016. Before that, Mattie worked at Stanford University Special Collections for 10 years. She is the co-editor of the book Using Primary Sources: Hands-On Instructional Exercises and is the Past President for the Society of California Archivists. This is the general meeting of the Santa Clara County Historical and Genealogical Society. It begins with refreshments and conversations. All are welcome.
