MISSION: Sensory Storytime

Sensory Storytime is a fun and interactive storytime designed for children ages 3 and up with autism and/or sensory challenges.  It involves books, songs, movement, and play that incorporate the five senses. It differs from a normal storytime by using a picture schedule to help transition from one activity to the next, providing fidgets and allowing movement for children seeking sensory stimulation, and limiting the number of participants to 10 children. The storytime will last for 20-30 minutes followed by 30 minutes of open play and sensory games.

Due to the limited size of this program, registration is mandatory. If interested in attending, please contact Mission Branch Library's Program Coordinator, Justin Wasterlain, at jwasterlain@santaclaraca.gov to see if there are spaces available.
