Update on Library Closure

To do our part in helping to stop the spread of COVID-19, all City of Santa Clara libraries have had their closure date extended to May 3rd. This date may be reassessed and we will be updating our community as we have more information.

 At this time, all materials due dates have been extended beyond the most recent closure date.

This includes items like Link+, Chromebooks and Hotspots. All items are our library will not be accruing fines during this time and we are encouraging our community to continue to keep these items at home until our reopening. In addition, holds are still suspended and cannot be picked up at our libraries. 

If you have a library questions that needs to be answer, please call our Reference line during open hours! 

We will have our staff available for questions from 10 AM to 2 PM Monday - Friday.

We are also offering online library cards during this time. 

You can start the process by applying for a library card from home using our website. The application can be found here: https://sccl.santaclaraca.gov/selfreg

Our staff is currently working on getting library cards to you at home. We will have staff members available starting March 23rd from 10 AM to 2 PM on Monday through Friday to process registrations.

Please provide an email with your registration that will allow for us to contact you with your library card number and pin number.

We encourage you to follow us on social media for the latest updates on our library.

Our staff is posting daily Storytime videos, video tutorials on using our resources and will be converting as many of our programs into an online format as possible!
