Celebrate LGBTQ Pride month with cool rainbow science experiments for ages 7 & up! We will be using baking soda, vinegar, food coloring, Skittles, and other normal household items to create jaw-dropping, rainbow chemical reactions.
This live event will be held online via Zoom. Copy & paste this link into your browser to access the webinar:

Here is a list of the experiments we will be doing. If you would like to follow along, please feel free to prepare the following supplies. This is completely optional, and the lab will be recorded and posted later if you want to try it another time. Here are the supplies you will need:
Wear gloves AT ALL TIMES conducting these experiments. We recommend wearing clothes you do not mind getting stained.
Paper towel or toilet paper
Markers (colors of the rainbow)
Water in a disposable cup
Lemons or limes (cut in half)
6 small plastic or glass cups
Plastic syringe or eyedropper
Baby oil or vegetable oil
Empty water bottle or tall container
Alka seltzer or other effervescent tablets
Tall container or empty water bottle
Please note, some of these chemical reactions will pour over their containers, so make sure you conduct all experiments over a surface that can be easily cleaned (like a tray or bowl).
ALL of these experiments should be conducted with parental supervision and are not recommended for children under seven years old.
See you tomorrow, Friday, June 25th at 2:00 pm to celebrate Pride month with science!
