Tom Liggett can point to many occupations and accomplishments, from being employee No. 114 at Apple, working as a chemist, cook, boiler maker, and electrician but it is roses that Tom is best known for.
If there is any single person most responsible for San Jose’s Heritage Rose Garden it is Tom Liggett. He will also point to his wife, Blanche, as an irreplaceable key factor in his Rose mission. Tom will share with us his account of the always fascinating history of our Santa Clara Valley, particularly when shared by people who were here long before it became Silicon Valley.
