Book an Appointment

Stay parked in your vehicle and have Library holds brought outside with our Car Pick Up & Go service. We recommend this option for those who prefer not to enter the building or have difficulty standing in the lobby service line.

Just place your holds, wait for your pickup notice, and then book an appointment during our Car Pick Up & Go service hours.

Car Pick Up & Go Hours

Monday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Tuesday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Car Pick Up & Go Process

  1. Place your hold (max 10 items per card) on our Library Catalog. (Need help? Watch this tutorial!)
  2. Wait for the email notification when your item is Ready for Pickup.
  3. Book an Appointment for Car Pick Up & Go.
  4. Park your vehicle in one of the designated spaces on the east side of Central Park Library. Refer to this map for the location of the Car Pick Up & Go parking spaces.
  5. Call the number on the sign in front of your parking space.
  6. Tell Library staff your Space Number, Name, and Library Card Number.
  7. Stay in your vehicle and wait for Library staff to bring your items to you. Be sure to have your trunk unlocked or open.

Returns

Returns will not be accepted by Library staff working Car Pick Up & Go.

Returns are being accepted at the Central Park Library’s bookdrop 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

*All Library returns will be quarantined for 96 hours. Your items will not be checked in right away. Please wait at least 96 hours to verify that your items have been removed from your account.
