Crime has escalated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Criminals have been more brazen since the pandemic began whether it is smashing windows to stealing items from inside a car, robbing people on the street, home invasions, and more. Santa Clara City Library wants you to learn personal safety techniques to stay safe!
In this webinar, learn how to develop intuition, situational awareness, congruent body language, and verbal skills to deescalate and deter assault and harassment. Our personal safety expert will teach you:
- Threat assessment and assertive body language.
- Self-defense voice to alert oneself, the attacker, and bystanders.
- Boundary setting with body language and verbal skills.
- Adrenaline management skills for acquaintance and stranger interactions.
