Lawyers in the Library Program connects volunteer attorneys with community members. It is a FREE legal advice service.
How Does It Work?

The volunteer attorney gives you a call any time between the session hours on the appointment date.

This program is held every Wednesday (3 - 5 pm)

Phone meetings, between participants and qualified volunteer attorneys, are free and limited to 20 minutes per session.

Few important things to remember:

You will be receiving a call from a blocked number any time between the session hours on the appointment day.

Please provide a safe number where attorney can leave a message if they cannot reach you, if you are not able to leave a safe number, please specify that no message should be left.

Due to a limited number of attorneys, we encourage 1 appointment per person every three months, so that others may benefit from this service.

Though the volunteer attorney may be able to assist you in various legal matters, if you are currently represented by an attorney on a particular issue, the volunteer attorney may not be able to advise you in that area.

This program is intended for people who cannot otherwise afford to obtain legal advice. Please be mindful of this when requesting an appointment.
