Help your child grow as a reader! Join us for an interactive online book club featuring fun early reading and writing lessons for young readers. Lessons are research-based and led by a literacy specialist who teaches phonics, comprehension, and reading tips for parents to use at home. After the lesson, your child can create a fun craft based on the featured book using a special craft kit from the library!
For grades K-1. Registration is required.
After you've registered on eventbrite, the link to join the Zoom meeting will be emailed to you the day of the event.
This month, we will be reading the book "Snowmen at Night" by Caralyn Buehner. The book will be provided virtually during the event, so there is no need to get a physical copy. After the book, the children will be able to participate in a craft. If you would like to join the craft, please ensure you pick up your craft kit from the Youth Services Desk at the Central Park Library during open hours between December 16 and January 18***.
The hours for the Central Park Library are as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday: 10 am- 2pm
Wednesdays: 3pm- 7pm
Sundays: Closed
***Please note: All Santa Clara City Libraries will be closed from December 24 to January 2nd for the winter holidays.
This event is graciously sponsored by the Santa Clara City Library Foundation & Friends.
