On February 24 2022 at 2:00PM (PDT) on Zoom we will talk with director, producer, writer, and photographer Janet S. Kim! Based out of New York City, Janet specializes in finding stories that reflect experiences from unexpected spaces. Her short film Speak Chinglish premiered at CAAMFest in 2016 with other narrative credits including content for Sesame Street, Amazon Prime, NBC, HBO, and commercial work for AT&T, Pepsi, Erno Lazlo, Chipotle, Petco, and Mandalay Bay.

She was instrumental in helping to produce the 2021 Sesame Street special “See Us Come Together” that brought a star-studded cast of celebrities and guests to celebrate the diversity of the AAPI community, as well as introduce Sesame Street’s first Asian American Muppet, Ji-Young to the world.

We will talk to Janet about her creative work, the experiences that have helped to navigate her career, and the radical work Sesame Street continues to do for our youth… and so much more!
