Dates:
Saturday, Sept. 7 - Cell Types: This lesson will cover the different types of cells, what they do, and how they're found all throughout the world, and students will get the chance to model their own cells.
Saturday, Sept. 14 - Nervous/Immune Systems: Students will learn how their bodies respond to the world and protect against illnesses, and they will have a chance to fight diseases themselves.
Saturday, Sept. 21 - Circulatory/Respiratory Systems: This lesson will cover how our heart pumps and lungs breathe and how our body keeps us alive, and students will get hands-on opportunities to interact with these two systems.
Saturday, Sept. 28 - Endocrine, Skeletal, and Digestive Systems: Students will learn how their bodies communicate, move, and nourish themselves, and they will get a chance to model and play with the workings of these systems.
Saturday, Oct. 5 - Genes and Diseases: This lesson covers how our genes are involved in our body's diseases, and students will model their own DNA and interact with the expression of disease.
Saturday, Oct. 19 - Nutrition: This fun, interactive lesson on nutrition will teach students about how tasty foods fuel your body for health and energy, and students will get to make a model of their own meals in class.
