Enter our Cosplay Contest at Library Comic Con for a chance to show off your creativity and win prizes!

Registration

All contestants must:

• Be an attendee at the Santa Clara City Library Comic Con.
• Complete a Cosplay Contest Entry Form.
• Check in at the Bookmobile outside of the Homestead entrance to Central Park Library between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
• Understand and agree to all competition and performance rules.

Once registered, you must be present at the Bookmobile for the Cosplay Contest at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Rules

• Each contestant may only enter one (1) costume into the competition.
• Costumes must be majority handmade by the contestant – no purchased, professionally commissioned, or rented costumes are eligible.
• Nudity, obscene or graphic content, or other elements deemed inappropriate to the spirit of the competition will disqualify contestants.
• Professional costumers, or those who run a business of commission-based cosplay are encouraged to show off their costumes at the Library Comic Con but should not enter the competition.

Judging & Awards

• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each award category will be determined by a panel of expert cosplayers present at the Santa Clara City Library Comic Con.
• Contestants will be judged according to their costume’s resemblance to the character it is based on, representation of their costume, craftsmanship skills, and creativity.

The Santa Clara City Library Comic Con 2024 is presented in partnership with several other Santa Clara City departments and is generously supported by the Santa Clara City Library Foundation & Friends.

Your attendance to this program grants permission to the City of Santa Clara to take your photograph/video and/or your child's photograph/video for marketing purposes.
