This June kicks off the Santa Clara City Library’s first ever Pride 2020 Challenge. Launching alongside our beloved Summer Reading Program, the Pride 2020 Challenge gives our community a new way to celebrate LGBTQ Pride Month through an experience that is rewarding, educational, and most of all, fun! We encourage you to explore LGBTQ arts, history, and culture to experience the full vibrancy of the LGBTQ community through 10 unique Activities designed to personally connect you to the celebratory spirit of Pride.
To participate, sign up for Summer Reading and begin the Pride 2020 Challenge.
You need to complete the Activities to earn their badges, unlock interesting LGBTQ Pride facts, and be entered into the drawing for prizes! You only need to complete 5 out of the 10 Activities to be eligible for the prize drawing.
The Pride 2020 Challenge is open to all ages.

This webinar will help you learn some communications tips and tricks when talking with teens as well as best practices for communicating respectfully with LGBTQ+ youth. This presentation was put together with the help of: Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, Santa Clara Office of LGBTQ Affairs, the LGBTQ Youth Space and The Family Accepting Project.
