In order to get a library card, you will have to show us government-issued photo identification imprinted with your name. Your government-issued photo ID must be current and original. We will not accept photocopies.

Examples of acceptable government-issued photo ID are:

  • a driver's license or state-issued identification card (out-of-state ID is acceptable)
  • a temporary California driver's license (with photo) or temporary California ID issued by the DMV (with photo)
  • a passport (we must be able to read it)
  • a United States Military ID
